“Alaska Bush Pilot Ken Jouppi: 13-Year Fight Over a Six-Pack of Beer Heads to Supreme Court”
I know Ken Jouppi personally — my plane was tied up right next to his at the airport in fairbanks, Alaska. He’s a veteran bush pilot, a hardworking American who’s spent decades flying in one of the toughest environments on earth. The photo of him smiling with that fox says it all: a true Alaskan character living the frontier life.
Back in 2012, a passenger brought a six-pack of beer onto Ken’s 1969 Cessna Skywagon as cargo for a flight into a dry [village has an ordnance that does not allow alcoholic] Native village.
Alaska state troopers seized the entire $95,000 plane under civil asset forfeiture laws, even though Ken wasn’t bootlegging for profit and the beer never reached its destination. He was convicted of a minor violation, but the state has spent over a decade trying to keep his livelihood.
Now, at 82 years old, this veteran is taking his case to the U.S. Supreme Court with the Institute for Justice, arguing the forfeiture violates the Eighth Amendment’s Excessive Fines Clause.
It’s a classic example of government overreach punishing hardworking citizens while real criminals walk free.
Ken’s story highlights the need for serious civil asset forfeiture reform. Americans shouldn’t lose their property over minor infractions. Praying for justice for this Alaskan legend.

Trump hired a bunch of chuds to restore the Reflecting Pool, which they did on time and on budget. Liberals are absolutely furious because they don't want voters to see that you can just fix things.
Family, help me give a BIG welcome to Amalie & Hoyt of Duson,Louisiana. These two amazing young leaders have stepped up to take on the 50 Yard Challenge, committing to mow 50 FREE lawns for the elderly, disabled, single parents, and veterans in their community.
Two tier policing did not start yesterday. It has existed for decades.
In 2004, the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police wrote to Channel 4 regarding a programme about the sexual abuse of young girls by Pakistani men.
His concern was not whether the abuse had happened.
His concern was that broadcasting it could increase community tensions following the 2001 Bradford riots.
The protection of community relations was considered alongside, and arguably ahead of, exposing the abuse of vulnerable children.
People can argue over the phrase "two tier policing" all they like. The document speaks for itself.
🚨James Surowiecki, author of the bestselling The Wisdom of Crowds. On the surface, the book's success appeared organic. The bestseller label certainly gave that impression.
But a closer look raises some questions.
In November 2023, a company called ILAMBDA INC received $274,667 in funding from the National Science Foundation for what was described as an AI-related study. The grant had been approved earlier, in February 2023.
According to the records, a significant number of copies of Surowiecki's book were purchased as part of that project. The obvious question is whether taxpayer-funded purchases helped inflate sales figures and contribute to the book's bestseller status.
And it doesn't stop there. Surowiecki is also a writer for The Atlantic. Which raises another question: who at the Department of Defense approved spending more than $2,000 on subscriptions to read that publication?
The receipts are below. Draw your own conclusions.
Don't Fuc*k with my friends @DataRepublican and @infantrydort@DOGE_DOW
I don't think any amount of investigating will turn up something that can be legally prosecuted. This is a subversive, strategic plan that has been perfected over the course of years. They got away with it in 2020, and any previous missteps have now been corrected to perfection.
The only solution is to pass the Save America Act. And we have 4 Republicans and the entire Senate Democrats opposing it.
What should we do to change this? Can someone provide a reasonable explanation as to why @JDVance is not stepping up for We, The People?
Im sorry but President Trump is absolutely correct.
The way California conducts their elections is a legitimate, credible threat to democracy:
1. Ballot harvesting is LEGAL, meaning 3rd parties are allowed to deliver thousands of completed ballots themselves with ZERO supervision or timeline.
2. There is ZERO requirement to show ANY type of ID when one comes to vote.
3. There are thousands of UNATTENDED drop boxes for ballots. There are DOZENS of examples of them being lit on fire, stolen, or bombarded with fake ballots.
4. The homeless are regularly paid to vote. The are given illegitimate addresses and coached through the process.
5. About 13 million of the approximately 16 million votes cast in 2024 were cast using vote-by-mail ballots. However, mail-in ballots are sent to every registered voter, whether you request them or not. California almost never updates their voting rolls, so ballots are REGULARLY sent to people who no longer live in the state, wrong address, or different person. My building alone had half a dozen such cases.
6. India had 660 million voters last election and counted the vote in one day. California has about 16 million and counting takes at least 30 days. This is a national embarrassment.
Spencer Pratt was doing this well because he was calling out a crooked and flawed system. If this is how they think they’re going to stop him, buckle up. They’re going to unleash something much bigger.
@aberdeen40b@NJBeisner Appointing him did no such thing which is why it was an acting position. Do you seriously believe that all those appointed have no authority until they’re confirmed?
@aberdeen40b@NJBeisner Nice try with the word play. Senate confirmed Grenell as Ambassador, Trump later elevated him to cabinet level position as he is allowed to do. Stop pretending it wasn’t a legitimate position because it was.
Dear black folks,
Okay… have a seat… there’s something we really need to discuss.
*leans in* You know… we really don’t have to stand with Karmelo Anthony because he’s black. Like, we can just either keep quiet and let the justice system do its thing, or… even better… we can side with the actual victim.
This whole “even if Karmelo is guilty, I’m gonna support him” attitude is exactly why black folks are given side eye all over the world. We have to stop making martyrs out of people who don’t deserve it.
My heroes are my heroes despite their skin color. I look up to men like Clarence Thomas, Dr. Ben Carson, and Dr Thomas Sowell not because they’re black, but because they’re great men. Let’s find more like them.
Hugs, only because I say this out of love. Well, not hugs for all of you. You know who you are…

Tragic loss in South Philly; KiIIers still on the run.
22-year-old Penn State senior Billy Schmidt was kiIIed early Saturday just yards from his home. He was walking back from watching the NBA Finals when two black men tried to rob him for his phone. Billy chased them and one turned and shot him in the chest. He died at the hospital. No arrests yet. Police are seeking tips.
If mainstream media cared, they would help find this young man's kiIIer.
Heartbreaking. Rest in peace, Billy.
You thought you hated liberal boomers? You don’t hate them nearly enough.
A 69-year-old retired bureaucrat from Alexandria, Virginia, Susan F. Douglas, is suing to stop the planned UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration.
Her argument? The event would cause her “aesthetic injury,” meaning she doesn’t like looking at it. She also claims watching it would worsen the physical pain from her osteoarthritis.
A patriotic celebration featuring Americans enjoying themselves would allegedly cause Susan both emotional distress and physical pain. Think about that.
After spending more than 50 years working in DC, Susan shares that she now devotes her retirement to protesting the White House ballroom and construction of the triumphant arch, opposing renovations like those of reflection pool, and serving as a “safety marshal” at No Kings protests.
Susan is also a prolific donor to the James Talarico for Senate campaign, according to FEC records. Make of that what you will.
Liberal boomers spent decades running the country into the ground, shipping jobs overseas, and opening the floodgates to third worlders. Now that they’re retired, they dedicate themselves to draining the joy out of life for all other Americans.
EDITORIAL DOUBLE STANDARD: When I was a senior investigative correspondent at CBS News (2019–2024) I was stunned by how little due diligence some colleagues did on Southern Poverty Law Center's claims....
