🇨🇫 The Central African Republic is asking Russia to build a military base in the country and has already allocated a special plot of land for this. Adviser to the President of the CAR, Mr Fidèle Ngouandika, made the following statement in a conversation with the African Initiative:

“We would like the Russian Federation to build its military base in the CAR, the government has already provided a site in Beringo, 80 km from [the capital] Bangui, where there is an international airport.”

If Russia leaves us today, we will be devoured by the Westerners who have been with us since independence and who have done nothing for our country,” concluded the adviser to the President of the Central African Republic, recalling that in 2014, by decision of the UN, a military peacekeeper was sent to the country MINUSMA contingent of 12 thousand military and other specialists:

“They didn’t do anything, they didn’t bring peace, but thanks to Russia we have peace. We hope that the example set here in Central Africa will be followed by all countries on the continent so that Africa can be strong and militarily independent.”
