My whole point was that as someone who has used University mental health services, and then had to pay for private therapy out of pocket due to the incompetence (as in extremely non-experienced and having no important credentials) they’re garbage.

@WikiWhitt @FOS @byajperez Bet, keep that same energy next time you miss a shift cause you’re sick, or had a hard day, or had a family issues because It won’t fly for a D1 program. Not to mention that in a contract, there are benefits that are REASSURED, such as MENTAL HEALTH CARE, which is non-existent.

@WikiWhitt @FOS @byajperez I’d take any amount of work over the berating of a coach. Especially a coach who thinks he owns you while you basically pay his salary. Gtfo learn some humanity. That coach doesn’t lift a finger compared to those kids and can’t at least support him? No humanity, just capitalism

@WikiWhitt @FOS @byajperez As a former D1 athlete at a school that claims to have much more resources for mental and physical healthcare. It is nonexistent in the US college system. Most will need to subsidize their own therapy or medication, even with insurance. This is just false and a bad take
