If you really want it, make Istighfār until you get it.
If you need it more urgently, wake up and make Istighfār at Tahajjud, and you will get it soon.
If Allāh Ta'ālā has given you the opportunity on any morning to:
1. Perform Fajr.
2. Make du'ā.
3. Recite Qur'ān.
4. Make Istighfār.
5. Give Ṣadaqah.
Then you have begun your day with some of the greatest means of seeking Allāh's assistance and blessings.
You can go through the rest of your day with confidence, positivity and happiness, since you are guaranteed divine assistance.
On such a day, you have very little to worry about.
In fact, anticipate goodness, happiness and bliss.
You began your day by turning to Allāh, now Allāh will sort out your affairs for you during that day.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
A group of ḥuffāẓ travelled in Jamaat to Kuwait. They had been invited by an immensely wealthy man known for his extraordinary affluence.
He sent a chauffeur with his Rolls-Royce to bring them
As they approached the host residence, the sight before them became even more astonishing.
Then the gates opened.
Beyond them stood a magnificent mansion; more like a palace than a home. The grounds stretched before them, immaculately maintained.
Employees moved throughout the estate, attending to the many needs of the household. There was an employee whose sole job was just to offer qahwah to whoever enters. His entire role was simply to welcome visitors with the traditional Arabic coffee.
Another employee had a single responsibility: to attend to the dates.
Another was assigned to serve refreshments.
The ḥuffāẓ stood there, taking it all in.
But what caught their attention most was the collection of cars.
One after another, rare and exceptionally valuable vehicles stood displayed across the property. Cars that most people would never see in their lifetime were simply part of this man’s collection.
The ḥuffāẓ could hardly conceal their amazement.
Their host noticed.
He looked at them and smiled.
Then he said something that completely changed the way they viewed everything they had just witnessed:
“I would trade all of this, and far more, to obtain just the Sūrat al-Baqarah that is in your chests.”
The ḥuffāẓ fell silent. The man then whispered:
“You know the entire Qurʾān by heart. Do you know how fortunate you are?!”
He gestured towards his magnificent home, his collection of cars, and everything that surrounded him.
“I possess wealth that you can see. But you possess something that I can never buy.”
Then he looked at them and said:
“You are blessed with far more than I could ever imagine. You are more blessed than me!”
For a moment, the exquisite cars, the mansion, the servants, and the priceless possessions seemed insignificant.
The men had entered the house admiring his extraordinary wealth.
But they quickly discovered that they are the truly wealthy ones. They left realising that they were the one's who were more admired.
Masturbation in Islam
Most people don’t talk about this.
But silence has never healed anyone.
And too many Muslims are suffering alone.
Here is what Islam truly says:
It is better to give gifts and be generous to one's family on ʿĀshūrāʾ than on the day ofʿĪd. In Radd al-Muḥtār is it mentioned:
وقد رأيت لبعض العلماء كلاما حسنا محصله: أنه لا يقتصر فيه على التوسعة بنوع واحد بل يعمها في المآكل والملابس وغير ذلك، وأنه أحق من سائر المواسم بما يعمل فيها من التوسعات الغير المشروعة فيها كالأعياد ونحوها اهـ. (حاشية ابن عابدين / رد المحتار – 6 / 430)
"I came across a fine statement from some scholars, the substance of which is that one should not restrict oneself to a single form of generosity. Rather, it should encompass food, clothing, and other things. Indeed, this day has a greater claim than other occasions to the forms of generosity that people customarily practise on them, such as the ʿĪds and similar occasions."
Shaykh ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn al-Shāmī wrote:
التوسعة على العيال يومَ عاشوراء مندوبةٌ في المأكل، والملابس، وغير ذلك (الهدية العلائية - ص 223)
"Showing generosity to one's family on the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ is recommended in food, clothing, and other matters."
Be generous on yourself and on your family on the 10th of Muḥarram. A little extra kindness, a gift, a meal, or an act of generosity on this blessed day may be a means of barakah for the entire household.
If you can enter your grave with knowing the Quran by heart, then do so.
If not the entire Quran, then atleast a portion.
From the journey of the grave to Jannah, the Quran will be:
- Your ideal companion
- Your best comforter
- Your official 'lawyer'
- Your expert spokesman
A lifehack:
Spend on yourself and get reward for it.
Buy for your spouse, and it may be a means of protection in your house.
Pay the bills on your home, and let that be a means of increasing your income.
How?
Use your energy wisely:
- Do not waste your strength in anxiety; learn to redirect it.
- Do not drain your power with hatred; replace it with compassion.
- Do not waste your time in backbiting; use it instead in Dhikr and reflection.
Reciting the Qur’an, sending salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ, and making istighfar do not take time away from your day. Rather, they bring barakah into your time.
It is not that by spending time with the Qur’an you will have less time for everything else.
The person who performs Fajr has no idea how many calamities, problems, difficulties, and worries he has protected himself from on that day just by praying Fajr.
And the one who misses Fajr has no idea how many blessings, fortune, and goodness he has deprived himself of.
You cannot keep blaming your upbringing for your whole life.
You’re an adult now, you’ve got intellect, and you can learn and adapt. You can change things, fix what’s not working, and improve yourself if you actually decide to do it.
Life will teach you: if you want good in your own life, do good to others.
And f you do good for others in their absence, Allāh will send you much more good.
The opposite is also true: harm others, and harm will come back to you. And in their absence, the harm will be much more.
The Prophet ﷺ carried the heaviest worries yet he remained the happiest.
He ﷺ had the biggest responsibilities yet he was the calmest.
He ﷺ was was busiest yet always available for those in need.
May Allah grant us all the oppurtunity to follow his beautiful example ﷺ.
Anger blinds a person.
It causes a person to:
- forget all the good the other person has ever done,
- exaggerate the faults of the one who is angry with, and - view a close family member or loyal friend as an enemy.
It distorts judgement, weakens self-control, and narrows perspective until only what fuels the anger remains visible.
So many times, anger also cause a person to act in ways he will later regret, and actually alter his entire life, and the lifes of others.
But worst of all, anger can destroy all the good deeds that a person ever done.
May Allah protect each of us from the dangers of anger.
Do two things every morning, in order to:
• Protect yourself from hardships, difficulties, and unseen calamities.
• Draw down the blessings, bounties, and mercies of Allāh.
What are they?
1) Give charity (ṣadaqah).
2) Express gratitude (shukr).
Do these every morning and witness how your life changes.
You have no idea how many trials are averted through charity, and how you become a magnet for divine mercy just becaue of being grateful.
🇸🇳 Senegal manager Pape Thiaw was asked why his team went out to pray despite the bad weather.
His reply: “Your fear the wind, we fear Allah”
