This week in 1987, workers removed panels of the Alden Mason murals from the Senate chambers. The murals were praised by critics but panned by legislators. Installed in 1982, the murals become controversial and were deemed “out of place” and the #waleg voted to have them removed.

Marine Area 10 (Seattle-Bremerton Area) will reopen to recreational crab fishing seven days per week from Dec. 6 through Dec. 31, WDFW shellfish managers announced today.
