What a fantastic result! Both Bristol crews through to the inaugural @Power8Sprints final. Well done to everyone involved in getting these crews together and ready for this completely new event๐
Everyone in the @WAGSRowing region should be very proud ๐
After eating asparagus, my wife and I always shout "Asparagus!" when we notice the after-effects whilst having a post-meal wee. I did it last night but forgot that we had guests for dinner.
The fours rack is almost empty and our 3 @vetfourshead crews are on the way to London for the race at lunch time. Good luck all ๐ช๐ช #rowing#mastersrowing
This is terrible news and will only serve to make BR even more detached from clubs. Shame we had to hear it second-hand. We hope everyone affected will be able to find meaningful jobs in the rowing community.
[1/n] I know we're all distracted by @HenleyRegatta but has anyone else seen the news that @BritishRowing is making their community development guys redundant. I've worked with one of them in the past at a start up club and he was utterly essential. He made it possible to
@andrewthodge This combined with Andy Parkinson's departure suggests some big change coming for BR. Performance related? Not a good Olympics for Team GB either. Personally I'd love to see BR doing more for its members ๐
At yesterday's Board meeting, it was agreed that, if required, British Rowing reserves may be used to help support the sport at this difficult time.

Highest ever recorded. Gym and changing rooms totally submerged (as will the @Habsmonmouth girls' boathouse). Lapping the upstairs boathouse. For all our problems, though, we are thinking of the folks on the opposite bank who have been evacuated with several feet of flooding.
If ur in a rowing club & weren't aware, clubs affected by flooding can claim up to ยฃ5,000 towards repairing damage through Sport England's Community Asset Fund. Our Community Support team ([email protected]) will continue 2 support & endorse applications as required
We know a number of rowing clubs will have suffered from the effects of Storm Ciara ๐ง @Sport_England now have emergency grants available - more details in the link below ๐
If you need any help or advice - our Club Support team are here to help ๐ง [email protected]
With the expectation that it's going to be another windy weekend, it seemed timely to upload some footage from the Head of The Nene last week. Horrendous conditions but at least it was good prep for the Tideway! @EightsHead#rowing#windy#justgetrowing
