You probably know us as "IT", but we are the hospital team for Technology, Intelligence & Innovation, helping you on the frontline against Coronavirus.
Please tweet or DM feedback straight to us here, tell us what you need, and we'll do our best to help.
If you experience any issues accessing Awingu at any other time, please call the ICT servicedesk. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this work.
Due to an essential upgrade, Awingu will unavailable tonight between 9pm - 9.10pm and 12am - 12.10am (Tuesday morning). Any open sessions within Awingu will be lost during these transitions, so please ensure you have logged off the system by 9pm and 12 midnight, saving your work.
We are currently experiencing national network issues. It is restricting staff access to applications. This is severly impacting remote users and services, such as ESR, Awingu, SSL VPN and other Internet based applications.
This is being urgently investigated for resolution.
Really want to acknowledge our friends @ContactRadioCom who drove over the border from Wales during the Easter weekend to deliver 2-way radios & headsets to allow our ICU colleagues to maintain hands-free, reall time comms with staff outside COVID restricted areas 💙
Great work by the Countywide COPD Team, led by Anna Alderslade, who are now managing their community patients remotely using a system called 'LUSCII', helping to keep our patients isolating safely at home but clinically monitored daily.
This reduces their need to attend clinics!
Today we are rolling out the remaining 90+ iPads to scale up our Virtual Visiting capability
Yesterday, our first call was held between a patient and his family, and to the delight of all, was able to witness the first steps taken by his grandson!
What an amazing thing 💙
Very happy to share this short video from the National Cyber Security Centre at GCHQ.
With us all spending so much time on-line now, now is not the time to drop our guard.
Stay safe, stay vigilant, be careful, be aware!
Today, we have launched our new @cyberawaregov campaign. As many of us are spending more time online, we want to make it easier for you to keep your devices safe... https://t.co/al5ZdBMBj1 #CyberAware

This is such an amazing thing we've been able to do, and huge thanks to all involved 💙
We're so excited to have deployed the first 40 of 130 iPads to wards for 'virtual visiting'
This allows inpatients with covid19 to use a tablet to call relatives using Skype or Facetime
The remainder will be deployed this week
.. and we're so grateful to the hardworking teams at
@WAHTdigital and @ComputacenterUK for getting these devices imaged and secured in record time
Also delighted to acknowledge the generous donations of the iPads from @networkrail and @WorcsHealthCare
