@WANDorsetChair describes how collaboration between women and clinicians developed the Dorset Women’s Charter https://t.co/Wp8cZCAZTG and she highlighted the importance of partnership working. #CMWH
. @BBCRadio2 and @krishk the #IWD2024 theme this year is NOT Inspire Inclusion - it is #InvestInWomen The theme is set by @UN_Women after extensive research and global events. The “other” theme is a watered down & unhelpful version from Aurora Ventures who run the IWD website.
The difference may seem insignificant but it is actually hugely important. One is evidence based, the other is not. One suggests empowerment and women’s agency to bring about change. The other suggests that women “need to be included” which is an unhelpful stereotype.

Very enlightening talk from @dremmathurston at the @hss_bu#WomensHealth event today. How Sex Ed is a gendered issue and influences women’s sexual pleasure (and/or lack thereof!)
“How women see themselves in sex is a reflection of how they see themselves in society”
Excited to be at the BU #WomensHealth event today.
Standards 3 &4 of the #DorsetWomensCharter describe what women should be able to expect when it comes to their health, pregnancy and everything surrounding both. @hss_bu@DorsetWomen
