HOLY SH*T, GROK BOT NOW HOLDS YOUR LOGINS AND CARDS, AND HERE IS EXACTLY WHEN IT ASKS YOU FIRST
The new release is rolling out, and the big one is the Vault.
You open Settings and add your logins, cards and contact info once.
From then on your Bot fills them in when it signs in or checks out.
Update the app first, it needs a recent version.
What decides whether you can trust it is Auto-review.
This is how it behaves, straight from the changelog.
You asked for it in your own words
Auto-review asks less often.
Say "check out my cart" and it does not stop to ask again.
A routine or another turn sends something
Emails and Slack messages you ask for go out once Auto-review allows them.
Sends from routines and other turns still wait as drafts.
You deny an approval card
The Bot stops.
It does not try that action again until you send another message.
Bots also record who asked for each message they post in Slack, so anyone in the thread can ask who requested it.
One thing the changelog does not say:
what the Bot can actually read from the Vault.
It says "fill them in", not "never sees them".
Ask that before you save a card.
How to set it up
- start with one login and one card with a low limit
- ask for purchases in your own words, so you stay in the fast lane
- leave routines on drafts until you trust them
- deny the first odd approval card on purpose and watch the Bot stop
The Vault saves the typing.
Auto-review decides when you are asked.
You decide how much goes in.
