Could we have a world record in the NPFL? If striker Emmanuel Ogbonna Anayor makes his NPFL debut for @Rangers_Intl, this will be his 12th club at top level of Nigerian football. Has any player anywhere in the world featured for 12 different top level clubs in the same country?

MUTIU OLAWALE 🇳🇬 (b. 08.07.1998) Left-back or left-winger. A revelation so far this season. Aggressive, energetic and pacy. NNL-experience for AS Racines, Delta Force FC, @ShootingSc (2019-2021) and @ottasolo (2022). Returned to Ibadan before the season and has never looked back

OKE KAYODE 🇳🇬 Bullish striker. Has been compared to legend Daniel Amokachi. Interesting prospect who needs to work on his finishing. Nurtured at Dosu Joseph Football Academy. Played for Crown FC during the 2023 NNL. New signing at @ShootingSc, has played 11 games so far (0 goals)

PAUL ODEH 🇳🇬 Attacking-minded left-back, probably in his early 20s. Fringe player at @LobiStars and @KwaraUnitedFC before joining @KaraAsko in Togo. Returned to Nigeria to become a fringe player at @NasarawaUnited and @WikkiTouristFC. At @RiversUnitedFC, Odeh has looked fantastic

AMAS OBASOGIE 🇳🇬 Quality goalkeeper, on the fringes of the Super Eagles. Consistent, cool and calm. Good shot-stopper. Commands his defence. 54 games in the NPFL, many more in the NNL. Played senior football for @ForceDynamite in 2014. Probably in his late 20s or early 30s.

ISMAIL SARKI 🇳🇬 Winger or striker. Quality player, known for tremendous speed and tireless running. Made his NPFL debut for @NigerTornadoes back in 2018. 55 games in the NPFL, 11 goals. After the exit of Imade Osarenkhoe, Sarki is the main threat at @BendelInsurance.

EVANS IYEBI OGBONDA 🇳🇬 (b. 24.12.2000) Energetic, attacking-minded left-back or left-winger. Interesting player. Nurtured at the Port Harcourt City Academy (in his hometown). Roughly 60 games in the NPFL (1 goal). Formerly of Ifeanyi Ubah FC, @AkwaUnited_fc and Nigeria U-23.

ANDREW ABALOGU 🇳🇬 (b. 03.10.1992). Experienced right-back. Roughly 230 games (20 goals) in the NPFL. Started off as a striker / winger for @AbiaWarriors and @ABSIlorinFC, but converted into a right-back at @EnyimbaFC (where he played 150'ish games). Scored his last goal in 2017.

YUSUF IBRAHIM 🇳🇬 (b. 22.09.2001). Striker. Key player. Speedy, skilful, lively, energetic. Not the classical "rugged" Nigerian striker. Looked promising at @RemoStarsSC but had his breakthrough season for @SunshineFCAkure in 2023 (15 games / 5 goals). Still goalless in 2023-2024.

KINGSLEY OGUNMOLA 🇳🇬 (b. 04.08.2000). Lively striker. After a great season for Akure City FC in 2022 (3rd level in Nigeria), Ogunmola joined @SunshineFCAkure. Has gotten very few chances at the Akure Gunners and should probably consider a move to revive his career.

UCHE COLLINS 🇳🇬 Striker. Big, powerful, strong in the air. Had a good debut season for @AkwaUnited_fc, featuring in every single game (18 games / 4 goals) during the 2023 season. Has struggled more during the current season. Starred for Sokoto United FC in the NNL 2022.

GODGIFT ELKANAH 🇳🇬 Goalkeeper. Back-up goalkeeper at @bayelsautd1 in the NPFL 2014. Solid performances in the NNL, last at @Warri_Wolves_FC, earned him a NPFL return. Back-up at @AbiaWarriors, @katsinaunited and now at @AkwaUnited_fc. 30-35 NPFL-games. Probably in his late 20s.

SARO LOVEDAY 🇳🇬 Right-back. A quiet, solid performer who played 10-12 games in 2023, his first season at top level. Seems to be first-choice at right-back this season. As far as I know, Loveday is from Yenagoa and came up through the ranks at his hometown club @bayelsautd1.

EMMANUEL ABUBU 🇳🇬 Central defender. Strong, athletic player. Broke into the first team of @FcDakkada towards the end of the 2023 season, but could not save his team from relegation. New signing at @bayelsautd1 and has made a good start. Probably in his early 20s.

@NGA_foot @FcDakkada He's an imposing CD very strong alright on the ball (nothing flashy) and knows how to position himself. 1 full season in the league would do him a great deal development wise

STANLEY OKOROM 🇳🇬 (b. 13.05.1994) Experienced right-back (alternatively central defender / defensive midfielder). Started at @36lionfc in 2013. Fantastic at MFM FC in 2016 and 2017, but rather quiet at @EnyimbaFC and @RemoStarsSC. Almost 150 NPFL-games. 6 goals - the last in 2018

STEPHEN SODJE 🇳🇬 Central midfielder, mostly focusing on his defensive duties. Key player. A good ball-winner and passer of the ball. Works hard and covers a lot of ground. 40-45 games in the NPFL (made his debut in 2019). Has scored only 1 goal. Probably in his mid-20s.

DANIEL SIMON ADOGA 🇳🇬 Central midfielder / attacking midfielder. Playmaker who raised a few eyebrows at @FCONE_Rocket during the NNL 2022. Made his top level debut on 15.10.2023 against @SportingLagos. Described as a "midfield maestro". Fondly referred to as "Iniesta".

UZOCHUKWU EZEOBI 🇳🇬 (b. 26.11.2003) Centre-back. Has been a fringe player since joining from Zamfara United FC. Nurtured at Deluxe Football Club. Formerly of Shekarau Babes FC and Mighty Jets FC. Picked for Nigeria U-20 in 2022. Desperately needs playing time.
