Strong agree. While the rules are farcical, and don’t get me started on a comparison with Chelsea’s punishment, we know the rules and it is astounding that we are in this position. It’s a screw up that’s on the ownership. Between that and Ramsey, total dereliction of duty.
I’m no financial expert, ( despite an A Level in Accounting, strange but true)
I’m staggered in this literal Russian Roulette of making sure every angle is covered so a points deduction is never an option against us, that no one checked/clarified Lai’s loan still affecting us?!?
@AndyfromNewHamp He’s got to score tonight m. If not I just don’t see that he can play again for the Albion. Just missed chance after chance. You can’t play 20 games and not score. (Yes, I am trying to jinx it! Seems such a good guy…)
@DizzyJB@matkinsj@afneil Being sold on the global market means global prices, it does not mean it is an international commodity that can be traded overseas. It powers the UK. As to the LNG point, that is more expensive alternative that is displaced. Odd that your last point is that it isn’t enough gas!
@DizzyJB@matkinsj@afneil Ok - on the energy security point, it is piped to the UK and provides a stable energy source that we control. In a period that upscaling renewables cannot be achieved. It also is on average has 5x lower emissions than the imported LNG it will replace.
@DizzyJB@matkinsj@afneil You have completely and utterly changed your point. Glad that we agree that approving Jackdaw is better for the environment, energy security, jobs and the economy. 👍🏻
@DizzyJB@matkinsj@afneil You literally said they would be piped direct to Norway. That isn’t true. It adds to the 30% of gas that powers our homes. That obviously helps our energy security.
@DizzyJB@matkinsj@afneil Also no licenses are sold, they are awarded. Meaning that the UK benefits from the tax receipts from all oil and gas produce me from the UK North Sea. It is factually untrue to imply that the UK doesn’t see the money.
@DizzyJB@matkinsj@afneil I’m afraid you’ve been misinformed. Jackdaw, which is gas, will go to the Shearwater platform and is then directly piped to St Fergus gas terminal, Aberdeen. Oil assets, due to the closures of our refineries, tend to go to Rotterdam to processing. But all gas to the UK.
@Reynox78 Agreed. The appointment of Ramsey is what has sent us down. Just don’t see us picking up the wins we need now. Have to go from winning 0 in 13 to 4 of the last 9.
Had to win that game. Dike played well but should have scored that header. They then get one off the shoulder. Bad luck, but that’s what happens when you don’t take what chances come to you. The amount of xG wins we have had this season is astounding.
@AndyfromNewHamp That’s fair - it showed what a catastrophe the managerial change was. I do feel the odds on us to go down now aren’t short enough - I think we are totally done for. We would be cut adrift if not for the Leicester points deduction.
I’ve never seen anyone look less like a leader than Eric Ramsay. We need someone players would run through a brick wall for, Ramsay has the permanent look of someone who has just had his lunch money stolen.
@AndyfromNewHamp@TheLiquidatorP1 @chrislepkowski @StockholmBaggie@GoldbergRadio I’m sure @chrislepkowski will remember this chat from the earliest days of the Albion Assembly. That and local beers, drive people nearby - we wanted effectively a tailgating culture, but with desi food, better beers, and public transport. Never got there though.
