Matthew was a sinner. He was a tax collector. #Jesus turned Matthew’s mess into a great message. It is a message of #grace. Jesus offers the same message to us. - @davidchauncey
Matthew had a skill for writing and record keeping as a tax collector. #Jesus used Matthew’s pen to present His case. He took Matthew’s pen and turned it into the sword of the #gospel.
Jesus will also use any #skill or #talent you decide to give. - @davidchauncey
This is Bob. When Bob was first asked to be a greeter, he said no. He just wanted to quietly attend church and stay under the radar.
3 years later, Bob says being a greeter is one of the most fulfilling things he’s ever done. Thank you for making everyone feel welcome each Sunday

What do we think when things are going well in life? We think that #God is #blessing us. What do we think when life gets tough? We think God has left us. That’s not what God teaches. God is the most relevant when we need him. He is #always with us. - @wbcpastorjohn
So what do we do when we find ourselves caught up in self-pity?
1. Get into God’s #word.
2. Get outside of yourself and serve #others
3. Get together with God’s #people
4. Remember no one is #perfect, especially not yourself.
