@NotATeslaApp you only find this improvement "puzzling" because you like the default behavior. Some people want it zoomed up close all the time, and some (like me) want it backed as far out as possible at all times. It's not that puzzling; different people like different things.

@RealChrisCotts @teslascope 2023 Y. I run deliveries on the side and drive a ton of unfamiliar (to me) routes. Everything has been better with V14 lite. LESS brake stabbing, not more. Less hesitation. Better speed control using modes. Much better lane decisions. Not perfect. Same nits as u but >12, nbd.

Elon stated during Tesla’s earnings call that customers are beginning to consider FSD the product vs. the car itself. I agree. I tell my uninitiated friends that Tesla is an app with wheels, not a car. Then I get the look. 😀

I’ve been collecting social credits in the form of pedestrians giving me that “thank you” wave when I swing wide before passing them, but I feel a little guilty about it coz they don’t know it ain’t me. Oh well.

I run deliveries as a side gig so using FSD for many unfamiliar addresses. It missed the security kiosk at the gated community, no big deal. It handled the single bar exit gate perfectly, something the old version couldn’t. Also remembers parking preferences. Hell yeah.

@BestNashTransit AFAIK, the “cabin camera” above the rear view mirror tracks eye movement. It’s painfully accurate. How much distraction it allows depends on circumstances.
