Hey #WalkervilleWeDay followers!
We would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of this incredible movement.
It is our duty to inform you that WE Day X will, unfortunately, not be occurring this year.
We will definitely re-explore this event next year!

In the 1998 Sex Education Curriculum, it did not so much as mention topics like "sexual orientation", "homophobia", or "gender identity". It wasn’t until grade eight that students learned, rather direly, the consequences of sexual activity.
Congratulations to all the students who have now finished their exams and are moving on to the next stage of their lives, especially those graduating! Our team wishes you all the best in your future endeavors!
Have a great summer - stay bright and colourful!

Hey Tartans! Tomorrow after school the https://t.co/tYo1trykKM team will be posting inspirational quotes on the lockers to encourage everyone for exams! If you are available @ lunch to help cut them, and/or after school, it would be a great help! We'll be in room 329! #CoolatWCI
Hey Windsor! Don't forget that tomorrow (Monday, April 9th) is #WearYourRainbowDay in support of Gender-Sexuality Alliances throughout Windsor and Essex County! Be sure to wear your colourful clothing to show support for our LGBTQ+ community and celebrate our #pride & #diversity!
Check out the #Walkerville front foyer tomorrow - @wcijack will be selling compliment grams, the STEPS program will be selling funky socks for World Down Syndrome Day, AND the @EarthlinksWCI will be hosting a bake sale!

This account will now mainly be used to post the occasional inspirational quote, reposting about upcoming social justice events in Windsor, and tips for planning events, campaigns and fundraisers!
In the meantime, if anyone is interested in hosting your own WE Day X at YOUR school, please feel free to message us and we'll help guide you along the way!
Best of luck to everyone with your upcoming initiatives - never stop being the amazing #WorldChangers that you are!

Did you know that though 1 in 5 people will suffer from a mental illness, 5 in 5 people have mental health?
Today is #BellLetsTalk day: tweet and retweet things about mental health to help #EndTheStigma!
#MentalHealthMatters#CoolatWCI
#BellLetsTalk is about breaking down barriers to having conversations about mental health. We all know someone who needs to talk. It takes a toll on you to live in silence, and a lot of strength to speak up. Be willing to hear what the people in your life have to say.
Today, for every tweet and retweet using #BellLetsTalk, Bell will donate 5¢ to #mentalhealth initiatives in Canada. Join the conversation: https://t.co/TDQFOh8B1p
How to recognize #mentalhealth problems in students:
Anxiety Problems
Depression and Bipolar Disorder
Attention and Hyperactivity/Impulsivity Problems
Behaviour Problems
Eating and Weight-related Problems
Substance Use Problems
Gambling
Self-harm and Suicide
#BellLetsTalk
It’s #BellLetsTalk Day - a time to keep having important conversations about mental health, and of course raise some money too! Mental health challenges affect us all. RT this to support programs across the country.
