Recruits completed our Ground Defense Program while continuing their classroom instruction in Criminal Law & Constitutional Law. They also received a presentation from Detective Aromando on the Drone Unit and its role in modern law enforcement.

@WCSOMA Staff Comfort K9 Milo recently passed his Canine Good Citizen test, marking a major milestone in his training. 🦴🐾

The Canine Good Citizen program is an American Kennel Club certification that evaluates a dog's manners, obedience, and reliability in everyday situations.

@WCSOMA BRTA # 65 recruits complete Week 9! 🚨🚔

In the classroom, recruits covered a range of topics, including reintegration, education, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), classification, records, and receiving.

The group also began firearms safety training.

In addition, the recruits trained with the Crisis Negotiation Team, where they were introduced to the fundamentals of crisis and hostage negotiation. This session focused on developing effective communication and negotiation techniques that will be critical in the field.

Last week, the recruits received instruction in crime scene preservation, grievance procedures, and drug education. They also gained valuable insight into courtroom testimony, helping prepare them for scenarios they may encounter during a trial.
