Happy Veterans Day to all in our @wcuofpa community who have served or are currently serving our country! Thank you for your service during wartime & peace.
Armistice Day, as it was originally called, commemorated the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. The day's name
has been changed to Veterans Day to better honor, reflect, & celebrate ALL veterans' service & sacrifices.
These 2 local papers in our collection are from Nov. 11 & 12, 1918. They depict the news of the end of World War I, when the Armistice was signed.
