Second vs Third harmonics.

Second Harmonic:

• The third harmonic is three times the frequency of the fundamental. If the fundamental frequency is 200 Hz, the third harmonic would be 600 Hz.

• In musical terms, the third harmonic is a perfect fifth above the second harmonic. It contributes to the timbre and complexity of a sound.

• The third harmonic can add a sense of richness, complexity, and character to a sound. It plays a role in defining the tonal quality of musical instruments.

Saturation is the process of adding harmonics, which might also introduce slight tone changing and compression effects. It can help to add richness and sense of depth to your sounds. From individual to full mixes.
