A core conservative principle is that we don't need higher taxes. Mary Smith does not agree with this. On 4/8/26 she publicly said she is 100% open to raising property taxes.

When asked, "Ms Smith, will you raise taxes at any point in your four year term? Yes or No?" Mary Smith laughed and then dodged the question, answering like a tax and spend liberal, saying "Always the last resort."

Andy Marshall on the other hand did not eqivocate in his opposition to raising taxes. Marshall answered like a Conservative should with a solid "No."

Mary Smith's willingness to rasie taxes if elected Williamson County Mayor raises a lot of questions but proves one thing: Mary Smith is not conservative.
