Look at the numbers who voted Labour in 2019 (who you can reasonably assume factored in Brexit and Corbyn then) compared to yesterday...see that 50% drop?
That's the Starmer effect.

@DaveoftheR @MattSingh_ @EdConwaySky It's not all to do with Brexit voters though is it? Labour lost nearly half the 2019 voters it had yesterday. Voters who had previously factored in Brexit and Corbyn. That's down to Starmer.

@MattSingh_ You do need to look a bit deeper into the analysis though. If you look at numbers voting for Labour yesterday versus 2019 you will see a drop of nearly 50%. These are people who voted for labour in 2019 with Brexit/Corbyn factored in, but not yesterday?

Labour lost nearly half its 2019 voters in Hartlepool yesterday - and that cannot be blamed on Brexit or Corbyn but solely on the Centrists and the direction Starmer has taken the party.

@OwenJones84 You just need to look at the actual numbers of people who voted Labour in Hartlepool yesterday compared to 2019. Down by nearly 50%. That cannot be blamed on Brexit or Corbyn but says very loudly that Starmer has alienated half of Labour's supporters from 2019.
