So proud of the @IUMedSchool for earning the @acgme’s DEI Award - congrats to whole #MedEd team for your innovative and meaningful work in this space. The earnest focus on DEI here at IU is impressive! Thank you for all you do.
@RegZeller I’ve seen this in processes and framework approaches all over: “But our [business/industry/location/customer] is different!”
No, they’re not. All the good wishes and magical thinking in the world won’t overcome the basic rules of economics, system dynamics, processes, etc
Some of our great @IU_Surgery and @IUHealthPhys Plastic Surgery team celebrating the holidays! This team has helped take care of more patients in more places and delivered a better patient experience than ever before. I’m proud to be a part of it!
I’ve seen highlights of terrible places to work, but this is so ridiculous that either some leader or accountant is a world class idiot, or it’s just made up to raise the views on someone’s profile.
@AGToddRokita : Maybe instead of using your position to chase votes from the MAGA crowd and FoxNews appearances, you advocate for the General Assembly to lower the gas tax on Hoosiers and quit wasting my taxes spending $1.35 to mail me a certificate I could care less about?
@RegZeller In “Identify” also have folks be really clear about what they’re delivering and their customer. In mfg it can be a bit easier for people to grasp sometimes (not all), but in Knowledge work I’ve seen people chasing not just the wrong problem, but the wrong body of work.
I’ve had faculty, leaders, and team checking on all of us, and know we greatly appreciate it! Special shout out to @RSClark2005@drmarylester@HollieMayes6, Michelle Artmeier, Alicia Smiley, Heather Hillman, Chris Scott, and Doug Reno. You’ve made a difference for me this week.
It’s been a week! I’ve now got family admitted to two @IU_Health hospitals and we’ve received care from multiple services across @IUHealthPhys, including @IUSM_Oto, @IUSMDeptMed (DaLD), @IUSMEmergMed, and 3(!) different services of @IU_Surgery.
Grateful for not only the great care our family has received, but also my @IUHealthTeam teammates who’ve helped facilitate the moving pieces to get my family cared for, especially my family in @IU_Surgery who’ve made sure I was ok, too. (Especially Plastics. Love you guys!)
@gbosslet Well, the good news is that since I’m neither a lawyer nor hold official office, I can “Todd Rokita is a political hack masquerading as the Attorney General” with impunity.
@CombatCavScout Don’t know still is, but prior to WWII in some Eastern European armies after you finished your officer training you were appointed to an NCO rank for a pd of time. So if you look at the history of the Polish Airborne Brigade at Arnhem, you’ll see ranks such as Corporal (Cadet).
You know, I don’t think I’ve ever woke up in the morning saying “Let me go pick a fight with the better fighter down the block so I can get my ass kicked today.” https://t.co/AoViXMh5yV
👏 Join us in congratulating Dr. Al Hassanein, MD, MMSc, on his groundbreaking work and obtaining an NIH R21 grant of $383,574 over two years! 🌟
Dr. Hassanein's research explores the novel approach of "Prevention of Post-Surgical Lymphedema Using Tissue Nanotransfection Technology"
Why is this research crucial?
Lymphedema affects 5 million Americans, leading to limb enlargement, infections, and decreased quality of life. There's no cure once established. Dr. Hassanein's innovative gene therapy approach aims to prevent lymphedema at the time of lymphatic injury. 💪
This will be Dr. HAssanein's second NIH grant for 2023.
Let's support his quest to make a difference in patients' lives! 📚
