In November 2013, the Carousel of Progress briefly closed to guests as it was used for filming Tomorrowland (2015). John's pose in Act I was actually changed to reflect the 1964 World's Fair Carousel.
From January to March 2011 both Buzz animatronics used the Disneyland Astro Blasters audio for an unknown reason, the rest of the attraction was unaffected.
3/5/1983: Journey Into Imagination opens in EPCOT Center’s Future World. Disney Animation on YouTube recently released a Figment short that has amassed 93K views, with many references to the original attraction (but sadly no Dreamfinder).
Almost two years since the Future World name was retired in Oct. ’21, the monorail spiel still references it with the line “Exciting things are on the horizon here in Future World”. The spiel should be updated by time World Celebration fully opens in December.

Also removed in during the refurbishment was the pilot intercom chime. This clip is from our January 2014 video where the pilot can also be heard giving guests a rundown on the then-new FastPass+ system.
From June 2019 until August of 2022, each of the twelve Mark VI monorails at Walt Disney World underwent an extensive refurbishment. One of the lesser discussed changes was the removal of the “Door Open” Chime.
