Policing faces a perfect storm. Crime is up, prosecutions are down, confidence is falling, there’s a damaging legacy of cuts & a series of cases of toxic culture
Yet the Home Secretary is doing nothing to tackle this.
Labour has set out a plan of reforms to rebuild confidence/1
Energy bills are going up £700 a year.
Meanwhile, oil and gas giants will make over £19,000 in the time it takes to watch this.
It is time for a windfall tax on oil and gas profits to support working people.
I have applied for the position of General Secretary of the Labour Party. I was contacted by many members over the last few weeks who have been distraught at the revelations in Labour and GMB leaks who have asked me to apply. They want an end to a culture of bullying and abuse.
reductions and redundancy.
Acorn is the Union for renters and the working class, there is a small but growing Dorset branch. If you would like to get involved join today and fight for renters rights not just in Dorset but all over the UK.

West Dorset CLP nominates:
• Rebecca Long-Bailey to be leader of the Labour Party
• Dawn Butler to be deputy leader of the Labour Party
This CLP didn't nominate in 2015 or 2016.
Delighted to endorse @RLong_Bailey and @DawnButlerBrent tonight for leadership contest. A fantastic debate and a win for women, diversity and socialism.
Except for refugee children, immigrants, Windrush citizens, EU nationals, those who will be now be denied the chance to live, work or study on the continent, small business owners who depend on the single market, manufacturing workers, young people who overwhelming want to Remain
The MP nomination process shows that the current 10% rule is not fit for purpose
We must reduce the threshold to 5% to give members a real say over who represents them
And in the meantime lobby your MP to get @RichardBurgon on the ballot!
The fact @RichardBurgon still hasn't received the nominations required to run for deputy is a travesty. He's proved time and again to be one of the most dedicated and committed socialists in the Labour Party. Members like me deserve the opportunity to vote for him.
