The Windsor branch of the Women's Equality Party. A non-partisan, collaborative force in UK politics. Because equality is better for everyone. #WeareWE
Top news! We’re finalists in the national @CIPR_Awards for our important #WhiteRibbon campaign with @TheDashCharity & other partners, calling on everyone to take a stand against male violence, abuse & harassment towards women. Well done Comms Team & thanks to all who supported👏
Boris Johnson says he's furious about the party in his home that didn't happen but he doesn't know if it happened, and he's assured that no rules were broken and will ask around to see if any rules were broken. 🤔

When I was 19 I was picked up by police after being drugged and dumped on a pavement. They literally threw me in the back of a van, busting my cheek open on the metal seats, and laughed at me and called me names while I cried #EnoughIsEnough#metpolice@WEP_UK
📣 @matthew_barber #EnoughIsEnough. The time for action to prevent misogyny and violence against women and girls is long overdue.
⏩Add it to your Crime Plan
⏩Make it a priority
⏩Get @WhiteRibbon_UK accredited to root out misogyny wherever it is found

This disturbing experience with Met Police happened almost 40 years ago. How little has changed. Combating misogyny & violence against women & girls across society & in institutions meant to protect us must be top national priority #EnoughIsEnough https://t.co/xmo4oXKNUA @WEP_UK
#EnoughIsEnough At home alone with my 3yo daughter when a male broke into my home. I called 999 begging for help. I armed myself with a knife to protect us as he would not leave. He eventually left after a struggle. 999 ended the call. They never sent a unit or came to help me.
That women are STILL being told to make 'appropriate' decisions in order to protect themselves from male violence rather than the focus being on said violence & the perpetrators of it hurts & angers me in equal measures, so, so much it's hard to express #EnoughIsEnough
#EnoughIsEnough STOP with the additional lighting, the suggestions of carrying rape alarms, the BLAMING of women. START changing the system and challenging men’s attitudes and behaviour. #SheWasJustWalkingHome
Meanwhile, we are still waiting for officers who took and shared selfies they’d taken with the dead bodies of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman to be properly held to account.
Don’t believe the ‘bad apple’ defence - institutional and leadership failures are at the heart of this.
Still absolutely seething at the double standards of the @metpoliceuk. I’d like to know what London’s Police and Crime Commissioner @SadiqKhan thinks about this.
