In the latest Developer Spotlight, Maximilian Weber (@maxalexweber), Founder and Core Developer of ODATANO, shares how his background in SAP development and decentralized systems led him to explore how Cardano could fit into the enterprise world.
Learn how ODATANO makes Cardano accessible through OData, helping SAP developers interact with blockchain infrastructure using standards they already know.
Max also takes us through projects like TRACE and QUANTIX, showing how Cardano can support supply chains, procurement, and enterprise data, while sharing what still needs to happen for broader enterprise adoption.

Two governance actions currently live, both needing votes from DReps, SPOs, and CC members to pass. If you hold one of those roles, this is your reminder to cast your vote before September 1.
Decentralized governance only works if we all show up👇

WEQNT just submitted one tx to vote on 2 Gov. Actions
1. Voted: Yes
Name the Protocol Version 12 hard fork “von Bergen“
2. Voted: Yes
Reduce minPoolCost to 75 ada and increase Plutus Memory Limits (Part 2)
Full on-chain rationales can be read here:

Note: some explorers only display rationale submitted via IPFS anchors (CIP-108). We embed ours directly as on-chain tx metadata instead, fully self-contained, no external hosting required. It’s there, just not where those tools look: https://t.co/2rXTSXEJ5m
Earlier yesterday we casted a governance vote for WEQNT entirely from my iPhone. No external server, no login, no third-party tooling - just a vibe-coded script running locally in iSH from start to finish, vote and rationale signed and submitted directly on-chain.

Participating fully in Cardano governance.
• No logging into an external server.
• Transactions constructed and submitted locally from my phone.
• A vibe-coded tool running entirely in a sandboxed environment.
The future of decentralized governance should fit in your pocket!

Built a Cardano transaction signer from scratch, on my iPhone. Hand-rolled CBOR encoding, Ed25519 signing via libsodium, blake2b hashing, all in pure Python running Alpine Linux on iOS. No cardano-cli, no local node. Just an iPhone, @blockfrost_io (id), and stubbornness.
Why is education important to Cardano's growth in Africa?
Mercy Fordwoo (@M3RSEE) explains:
During Community Holds The Mic at the Cardano Summit 2025 in Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪, Mercy Fordwoo, Partnerships Lead at Wada Global, alongside Samuel Kobi, Hubs Coordination Lead at WadaGlobal, shares how education is laying the foundation for long-term ecosystem growth across Africa.
"We do a lot of work in Africa, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa. We do a lot of education, and we expect that as people get educated, they build and get exposure to Cardano."
A Recommendation to DReps: The https://t.co/wdOyVHGT21 Proposal
Many of us are drawn to Cardano because we believed in its potential to create meaningful change. We embraced a vision of financial inclusion, reducing unnecessary intermediaries, empowering individuals, and building systems where opportunity is more evenly distributed rather than concentrated in the hands of a few.
That is why the https://t.co/wdOyVHGT21 proposal resonates so strongly with me, and why I recommend it for your consideration.
In a relatively short period of time, the team has already onboarded more than 22,500 farmers to Cardano. Not speculators. Not crypto enthusiasts chasing the next pump. Real people, real communities, and real livelihoods connected to our ecosystem through a solution designed to address genuine challenges faced by those who produce the food that ends up on our tables every day.
Farmers are the foundation of entire industries, yet their contributions are often overlooked. https://t.co/wdOyVHGT21 is developing tools that help farmers connect directly with (web3 based) service providers, improve traceability, increase trust, gain better insights into their operations, and access opportunities that were previously out of reach. These are practical solutions addressing real-world problems. This is what we said Cardano could, and should, do.
What makes this proposal particularly compelling is that it was not built around the idea of "build it and they will come." No!! It's far from that! The demand already exists. The team has worked alongside established partners, including the @SyngentaFndnInd and local governments, to ensure both adoption and compliance. They have secured pathways to reach millions of farmers while building within existing regulatory frameworks. They're scaling with @andamio_teams and @ZengateGlobal. This is deliberate, grounded work.
This is impact. This is disruption. This is exactly what Cardano was built for.
My Recommendation:
If you are still undecided, I encourage you to vote YES. The demonstrated traction, partnerships, ecosystem collaboration, and real-world impact speak clearly to what this proposal can accomplish.
If you have voted No, I respectfully ask that you revisit the proposal and consider whether these factors warrant a different conclusion.
Whatever your final decision, I believe https://t.co/wdOyVHGT21 represents the kind of ambitious, purpose-driven use case that many of us envisioned when we first joined the Cardano ecosystem. It deserves your serious consideration.

How do recent tier-one integrations impact the speed of Cardano's development? @phillip_pon explains:
According to Phillip Son, CEO of EMURGO, tier-one integrations have moved at an unprecedented pace. Circle, Pyth, and Dune were completed in record time, while LayerZero integration remains pending as the partner hardens their systems before implementation.
As he put it:
"To sign Circle and to deliver it within effectively a month or two is unheard of... I'd rather be next on the list than in the midst of integration where things are in flux."
