@JonnyGeller It’s hard to not spend excess amounts of time on the pitch. It’s hard to get an agent’s attention to the point they would even read the first few chapters - so it seems key. I will say, it’s a healthy exercise to really understand what it is you are selling, *ahem*, writing tho!

Take courage. If you're writing, querying, submitting--rejections can feel so personal. Like a condemnation of your dream. But more often, the line between 'huge success' and 'never published' is a fickle one. It hinges on interpretation. It feels more like the flip of a coin.

@JonnyGeller Thanks! Indeed all true. I find that working with freelance editors and testing the waters with beta readers really helps confidence before submitting to agents. It’s a jungle. Talk about personal growth!
