Willowbrook

A farmed animal sanctuary dedicated to living and promoting a cruelty-free, plant-based lifestyle.

Now our balance is just over 300 total, putting us under the threshold required to keep our appointment for Monday.

Thank you so very very much for your continued support!

We are blessed - so so blessed!

After our post about needing to raise almost $400 to get our account balance down to get the kittens in for their next visit (we have to keep a balance under 500), 5 very generous people donated and we were able to put over $450 on the account!!!

It's kinda funny how Walter Pigg thinks he can just be a loner out here - even though he tries to tell everyone he wants to be left alone (unless he chooses to find company), it seems every single extrovert here likes to find time with Walter - Sam being one of those extroverts.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

Walter hasn't really befriended anyone here at the sanctuary. He's a bit of a loner. He does hang with the goats in the morning and evenings for a little graze time - but Elsie likes to follow him around because he roots up some of the best grubs this side of the ole Mississip'.

The Tree Trimming crew works hard all day long to keep the trees on our sanctuary in top shape.

Matt bringing the goats in for their evening meal. Who is really leading who here?

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

This is an older video show Dorothy (brown and white) and Lulu checking out the wheel - it was a fun TikTok trend and even more fun to see this memory pop up for us. We miss you Dorothy.

Cora, Charlie, and BB are enjoying the sunny days but not so much the flies.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

Sam is growing into a fine livestock guardian dog and friend... he even invites his friends home for dinner - and Elsie is glad to accommodate.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

Clark has made it clear that he wants a friend since Lewis has passed - we are looking, but until then, I suppose he will just come inside and let us know how his day is going.

NOTE: This was taken in April and we indeed, did seem to fix the weak spots.

Because everyone needs a little Lucas Bun-Bun this morning.

This video was taken after his third escape for the week - but I'm sure that after reinforcing his enclosure with 3 different fence options - we have it this time. I'm sure of it.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

I posted the cutest photo of Penny yesterday - but you didn't get to appreciate just how beautiful her eyes really are!

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

Do I even have to say it?

Perfection.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

We have one tree in our front lawn at the house - and that tree is LOVED by Vincent and Violet.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

Most folks don't realize that a donkey is a desert animals which means he is one of the very few residents who truly enjoys the hot hot days of summer.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

Charlie loves a good roll in the dirt - and even more so, a nap in the dirt, which is what he is doing here. I took this photo from a distance because when I looked out, I need to make sure he was ok! Definitely ok - just snoozin' the afternoon away.

[Willowbrook @WFAS_cares]

Ramona - enjoying a nice early autumn day.
