Honored and deeply grateful that Argentina was honored at the reception jointly organized by the Washington Foreign Law Society and the Office of the Legal Adviser of the U.S. Department of State.

Our sincere thanks to Mr. Reed Rubinstein, Legal Adviser of the U.S. Department of State, and to Mrs. Alexandra Bochnakov, President of the Washington Foreign Law Society, for this meaningful recognition of Argentina’s longstanding contributions to international law and the rule of law.

We were honored by the presence of Christopher Landau, Deputy Secretary of State of the United States.

The Embassy of Argentina values this recognition as a reflection of the importance of countries committed to democratic institutions and respect for sovereignty and international law.

We thank Legal Adviser Rubinstein for highlighting the strong alignment between Argentina and the United States on political, legal, and multilateral issues, for recognizing our shared resolve to combat and defeat narcoterrorism across our hemisphere, and for acknowledging President Milei’s principled and unwavering commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with President Trump in defense of the State of Israel.

During the occasion, Ambassador Alejandro Oxenford highlighted that Argentina is undergoing a profound transformation under the leadership of President Javier Milei — grounded in individual liberty, the rule of law, open markets, private property, and institutional stability.

He underscored that the strategic relationship with the United States is one of the central pillars of Argentina’s transformation and international reintegration.

The Ambassador also emphasized the growing systemic alliance between both countries across investment, trade, security, critical minerals, energy, technology, and geopolitical coordination.

He further noted that Argentina is committed to working closely with the United States and Israel in defense of democracy, freedom, and Western values, while strengthening coordination against terrorism, organized crime, and authoritarianism.

Finally, Ambassador Oxenford stressed that Argentina has made a clear strategic choice regarding its place in the world: to build a deep, mature, and historic partnership with the United States, based not only on shared interests, but also on shared values, mutual trust, and a common vision for the future.
