Incredibly lucky to have had the chance to meet and ask questions of some fantastic visitors for aspirations week! We have got some more fantastic people joining us as the week goes on #TheWestfieldWay@WestfieldPrimar
This week we looked at a significant event in history: The First Flight ✈️ We role played the moment in the hall and took pictures of our freeze frames #wrightbrothers@WestfieldPrimar
This morning, we have had visits from a police officer, a microbiologist and a green cafe owner. What a fabulous range of careers we have learnt about! #AspirationsWeek#TheWestfieldWay#AimHigh
It’s ‘Aspirations Week’ at Westfield! What a great start to the week we have had! Our children have come dressed as what they aspire to be when they are older. A huge thanks to Woodhouse Ltd and @PoliceRuncorn for coming in to speak to our pupils about their jobs.#TheWestfieldWay
We also had some free time in the forest 🌳 We used our creative skills and some teamwork to have great fun on a sunny but cold afternoon ☀️ @WestfieldPrimar
We had the best time in the forest today! We did some different wax crayon rubbings to explore the different textures in our forest. We then tried to guess the different ones on our partners sheet #forest 🌳 🖍️
Cherry class have been learning all about Chinese New Year. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit🐇
We watched a video and an assembly about celebrating Chinese New Year. We made some Chinese lanterns and wrote our names in Chinese! 🏮

DT// Our final lesson of this unit! We have had so much fun and it was great to finish by making a sweet seasonal tart! 🍎 🍐 The children took them home to give them the taste test! @WestfieldPrimar@kapowprimary
Every child in school made a decoration yesterday for our tree, which is part of the Community Christmas Tree Festival 2022 @StMikesRuncorn #community#christmas2022
Year 3 and 4 Science// Using data loggers to see if there is a pattern between the volume of a sound and the vibrations that produced it 🔍 🎤 @WestfieldPrimar@WFPLarch23
A great Science lesson with Year 1 and 2 comparing the mini beasts we can find in different habitats (followed by a fun session of hide and seek)! We think we even identified the strange looking fungi we found as ‘Jelly Ears’ @woodlandtrust - are we right?
@WFPCherry@WestfieldPrimar Great pictures, it is wonderful to see each stage of their crumble-making, thank you for sharing. Well done Cherry Class Chefs.🧑🍳👩🍳👨🍳
