Building excitement for our Family Literacy Night. W.H. Day’s Primary Tournament of Books is under way with 16 amazing titles chosen by our K-3 classes. For Round 1, classes have been reading and voting on the 8 books in their group. Excited to see which books move to Round 2.

1st session of our 4 Part Learning Series -Supporting Early Readers and Writers. It was amazing to collaborate & learn together with K-3 educators from @WHDayES @marshview_ps @ChrisHadfieldSc as we discussed the shift to structured literacy and what that looks like in our classes

Last week we read the story, “My Body is a Rainbow. The Color of my Feelings.” This inspired us to create our own I Statements. We paired each I statement with a different colour and created our own “I Statements” key chain. @SCDSB_Schools @SCDSBey @SCDSB_Wellness @WHDayES
