It is un-American and lacking in humanity for an individual running for the second-highest office in the land to blow off the murders of American/Israeli hostages. #Election2024#TimWalz#Executed

As Kamala repeatedly insisted to @DanaBashCNN that “my values have not changed,” I was less concerned about how she was using rhetoric to excuse her serial flip flopping than I was to the warning from T.S. Eliot:
"The greatest proof of the collapse of the religious spirit in our society is our growing tendency to substitute what we call 'values' for what used to be called virtues."

It is not widely known that upon the inauguration of the Presidents of the United States, when they take the oath of office, with their left hand upon the Bible, that the Bible is open, and that most often their hand is placed on a passage of their choosing. In 1981 and 1985, President Reagan chose the same scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
