Ghana is strengthening its clinical trials capacity.
Thanks to @EuropeInGhana under the Vax & Pharm Initiative, @WHO supported @NVIGhana to assess 15 institutions using the draft @WHO Clinical Trials Ecosystem Benchmarking Tool.
The findings will inform Ghana’s first national strategy for advancing clinical trials.

Public Health Emergency Operations Centres (PHEOC) are critical hubs for the management and mitigation of public health emergencies and threats.
This week, we join the @_GHSofficial and @AfricaCDC to enhance the capacity of National and regional PHEOC staff with skills for running effective PHEOCs.
Together with @mohgovgh and key stakeholders are working to review Ghana’s National Health Promotion Policy by incorporating Pandemic Influenza considerations and addressing outstanding gaps.
This brings the policy closer to final approval and strengthens Ghana’s preparedness for future public health emergencies.
Africa’s #NCD burden continues to rise, and patient safety must remain central to the response.
At the #WorldPatientSafetyDay commemoration, our Integrated Service Delivery Officer, Dr @angiackon, presented on the Global Patient Safety Day theme.
She shared data highlighting the link between #NCDs and patient safety and outlined @WHO-recommended interventions to strengthen safe care.
