Congrats to Jake Wilbanks for signing with Blue Mountain Christian University to continue his academic and athletic career as part of their powerlifting program. Jake is the first lifter in our program’s history to be offered a scholarship to lift at the next level! @bmcsports

Couldn’t be any prouder of this young fella! Congratulations to senior state champion powerlifter Jake Wilbanks! Not only did he place first, he also set records in his weight class in 1A for bench (345), deadlift (630), and total weight lifted (1475). This young man is a beast!

Why do I believe in a clean weight room ?

I believe in controlling the controllable.

Small wins daily , it helps practice discipline , and helps teach practicing good habits.

Looks and feels good also . Teach pride and ownership .

Hard coaching without relationship produces resentment. Relationship without hard coaching produces entitlement. The sweet spot is a player who knows you love them and knows you will not lower the bar for them.

Proud of our girls at the North Half meet we hosted at Wheeler yesterday! As a team, they finished 3rd out of 11 schools. 4 out of 8 girls placed in the top 3 in their weight classes to qualify for state! Congratulations to Addison, Morgan, Ariel, and Miley!
