Just heard from a reliable source the Wellington 4x100 relay team just broke a school record in the preliminary race. The team made up by Zeka, Cullens, Reichenberger, Gerten ran it in 49.89. They win run it again tomorrow in the 4A finals.

Huge news from the state meet here in Wichita… Wellington freshman Presley Metcalf has qualified for the state finals in the 400. She ran the race in 1:02.52 for eighth place. She was seeded 11th.

Hagen Wright is senior male athlete of the year. Airalyn Frame and Ali Zeka were co-female athletes of the year announced at the Wellington year-end sports banquet. A.D. Luke Smith said both the male and female vote was extremely close.
