Why do grade boundaries change?
Because exam papers are different each year, it’s impossible to know how difficult students will find a paper until it’s taken.
Easier paper = higher grade boundaries.
Harder paper = lower grade boundaries.

Summer 2024 Certificates
We have not yet received all of our certificates in centre.
We are hoping to receive them this week, ready for distribution by next week.
Ofqual is consulting on the use of formulae and equation sheets following @educationgovuk's decision that students don’t need to memorise them for GCSE maths, physics and combined science exams in 2024.

Spent a fabulous couple of sessions over the last 2 days being interviewed by our inquisitive and thoughtful Year 7s about the examinations role here at WHS.
My favourite question was definitely;
Are you the head of all the exam things?
My answer?
Yes absolutely! 😉
