⚽️ Clyde is a true @WestHam titan and a Newham hero. He stood defiant against racism when the stands were at their toughest, changing football forever. 👊🏾

⚽️ It was an honour to reflect on the legacy of a man who is so much more than a West Ham legend.

⚽️ As a Newham icon, Clyde Best didn’t just break records; he broke barriers.

➡️ Arriving in 1968, he stood tall against systemic racism with a dignity that paved the way for generations of Black players in the beautiful game.

And West Ham FC football manager Ron Greenwood who saw talent and let it shine through.✨

His story is the story of East London, West Ham FC and the people here in @NewhamLondon - resilient, diverse and strong!
