But when he does win it, we’re on the front foot circa 30 yards higher up the pitch and can break. It’s how Pel plays and it will cost you at times, but hopefully not outweigh the times it works in your favour.
One thing I don’t like about Balbuena is that he rushes out of position a lot and gambles in trying to win the ball high up the pitch. Leaves our defence all over the place.
Need to be looking at changing this up and playing more direct to Carroll with others playing off him. Cardiff want the point and with 10 behind the ball, we are going to struggle to break them down with our normal approach.
Marko hasn’t been right all season, we’ve all known it. Him getting injured was only a matter of time given the expectations put upon him, hopefully it’s not too serious.
Delighted to have officially signed for West Ham United!
After speaking with the manager and those at the club I knew my future was at the London Stadium and I can’t wait to get going now.
It’s well known that I come from a family of Hammers and it’s a special moment to sign…
@seanyboy67 I would’ve happily taken Foster as well. Butland would have been great, but with Stoke asking £30m (on par with what Pickford sold for), it just doesn’t represent value for money and would’ve been a large part of budget gone.
Fabianski is a very shrewd signing, massively underrated keeper and an upgrade on Adrian. Need to forget about his early days at Arsenal, he’s been a superb No. 1 at Swansea and would still be in the Prem if Swansea were run properly as a club. Great business.
@pauliodibrownio Oh I know, just merely stating that last season he got it so horrifically wrong. But you like to think you don’t lose that ability to spot gems and last year was a fluke when he was made to try and sign quality with lumps of coal
