The early 2030’s are going to be an interesting test of the CC0 thesis.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I suspect DC will make more money off of Batman and the Joker once they are public domain.

The existence of a lot of off-brand Batman won’t diminish DC’s offerings any more than the existence of endless fake Louis Vuitton bags does LVMH’s.

Remarkable timing that so many prominent properties will become public domain just a few years after content production costs began to race to zero, allowing average people to actually do commercial grade work with them.
