Such a refreshing taste. ".. what kind of animal has been brought this eve? .. perhaps a farm animal? A creature of four legs and a hide that is of use? It has a peculiar lovely taste. [warm.]"
With the final word falling from her lips in a cadence of a kind of reverence.

Tilting her head, Jaina raised a hand out of the water her skin scaled and claws long as she waved her hand through the water.
the first thing alaera gazes upon are the strange creature's eyes.
there is no color to them, no light. just black slits gazing back at her from beneath the murky waters of her lake.
'how curious', alaera thinks to herself, kneeling upon the water's edge and placing the wooden
Taking the offering in the lake, Jaina took the piece of meat and swallowed it whole without chewing.
Eyes brightening as it passed to her growling belly.
"the fish attack. I do as I ought to defend myself against their hungry teeth: showing them mine are sharper." Her voice was soft and calm. Even in tone.
Watching the woman as she knelt at the lake's edge; she had such a striking resemblance to a predator sizing another up.

As his power diminished, the rats that had been tossed out nearly a century ago returned with a vengeance.
Slaying any who were of the same kind as his wife; killing the Head and his wife in their sleep..turning their bodies into the first pyres the Iron Isles saw that century.
Over the course of many seasons the child grew, sprouting slowly from a chubby toddler to an equally well fed young child..
just as the Head began to grow gray and frail. And his power began to wane.
