thought experiment for ED researchers: let's imagine that our patients read the articles we wrote, saw the presentations we gave, & attended ED conferences. would they feel validated? would they feel their priorities align w/ what gets researched? would they feel ignored? gaslit?
3. Increased body weight satisfaction was positively correlated w/ higher EC scores in men & women
4. In women, greater EC was associated with a lower risk of eating disorders & reduced attempts to lose weight

🔑 findings:
1. EC scores were higher among men when compared to women & individuals who identify as trans or gender-non-conforming
2. Higher EC levels were linked to reduced feelings of weight & body shame across all gender identities
Reminder: adult bodies are not intended to look like adolescent bodies.
Although health-wellness-goop-(capitalism) culture suggests otherwise, we are supposed to age. We are supposed to age and grow and change and gain mass and gain wrinkles and gain evidence of life.
