First wave of 56th SBCT soldiers arrived back in US today. About 300 landed in Fort Dix NJ.

Visited Al-Faw Palace, and caught performance by military band. They were playing "Raider's March" when General Odierno strolled through.

A lot of state workers in 56th, and everyone I've talked to is miffed about ongoing impasse. Many blame Governor Rendell for the delay.

How did they have DVD of Transformers 2, you ask? Most bases have Iraqi-run shops where you can pick up bootlegged DVDs.
