Hi Uncommon, I must have hit a nerve with Matt Morse. I tried to explain to him that getting paid an extra 6% is nothing given the fact that when I paid in most of my SS money it was worth 20 times what it's worth today. I literally get paid a pittance as compared to the value of the money when I paid in. Anyway, I must have really upset him. He blocked me. Ooops! My bad!

Besides all of that, if our corrupt government cut out all of the fraud and waste, I could be getting at least double my SS payment...like $4400 per month. It was your generation that voted in all these crazy people that corrupted our entire government budgets. In the old days, all of these type of government criminals got arrested. The worst corruption was in the black community where the people sold their food stamps for .50 cents on the dollar so they could buy booze instead of food for their kids.

Matt, I'm shocked that you are unable to see the reality of this 6% being far too low. We paid in our contributions when the dollar had like 10 times the value it does today. WE GOT SCREWED!!! We deserve more like 200% overpayment. Here's an example. When I paid in some of my SS dollars, gasoline cost .34 cents per gallon. The value of the dollars I paid in was reduced by 200% over the last 50 years. Your premise is that someday YOU deserve to receive the actual value of the dollars you pay in, all at the expense of old people like me. Think about this: would you be able to survive today on a retirement payment of $2200 per month at today's prices.
And even though my wife and I are getting royally fucked, we should have our retirement cut by 6%? We lost MOST of our retirement payments to a government that has been fraudulent for 50 years. This loss of dollar value was the fault of our corrupt government, not because of anything I did. My family sacrificed for 50 years when those dollars had great value. Now you can't see past your own finances and you want the government to cut my income so you can get more money.
I almost hope that when you are receiving your social security, there are young people talking about cutting your SS by 40 or 50% so that you can see how silly you are being.
