ALL THE TIMES I WAS LOST AND NOT SHOT
Gun violence in the US is weighing heavy on my heart. It's hard to stay connected with so many shootings and so much suffering. The shootings of #ralphyarl and #kaylingillis are so senseless.
Ps I have seen a lot of coverage about people who left the US post Trump. It truly is not that easy. Feel free to reach out if you're doing reporting on this
@BrianLehrer Nyer who has spent the last 7 years in Germany. Separating compost has been the hardest for me to adapt to because of the critters that break down the food. But I wonder if this isn't an issue in NYC because of volume. Tips for keeping smells out of the big bin?
@DakiniTranslat1 @agleig @LangenbergAmy That being said, this is sadly a far-reaching issue with a lot of people affected. You can always reach out to me with documents, etc
Latest: details on the Karmapa case discontinued in New York, @agleig and @LangenbergAmy on Healing Our Sanghas, a new initiative to help Kagyu practitioners process silence around abuse allegations https://t.co/vokXOIyBDu
@DakiniTranslat1 @agleig @LangenbergAmy Hi, not sure if this is directed at me. This article is 1.5 years old & about Han's case being discontinued. In every SA article I reach out to those involved and always let lawyers or reps know that I'm willing to sensitively listen to the survivor, either then or in the future

In 2020, Oregon became the first state in the US to legalize psilocybin.
An academic paper published in 2023 predicts that the majority of US states will legalize psychedelics by 2033–2037.
@WJBreports has the scoop on the future of healthcare.

"Long-overdue research on psychedelics backing up indigenous wisdom that has supported plant healing for millennia, coupled with enthusiasm from the public and lawmakers, there is a lot to anticipate in the future," writes @WJBreports.

Thanksgiving TED talk: I've studied both terrorism and language. Why invoke #AI in this situation? People have died and think it is terrorism. AI images plant the seeds of doubt in those who did not witness the event 🤷♀️ @KathyHochul
@WJBreports CA has become the first state in the US to ban discrimination based on caste!
"We shined a light on a long-hidden form of discrimination thousands of years old, invisible shackles on the wrist of millions of people," said CA State Senator @aishabbwahab.

After 5 years in the German healthcare system, I can see that the spirit of Pilates is alive and well. I've endured a C-section, depression, aches and tears, common colds & countless kindergarten viruses. My doc usually recommends beet juice and applying yogurt on my neck 🤷♀️
Most of our problems have already happened at some point, even if they feel new and impossible now. I recently spoke with Prof. Jeff Wilson about how a radical monk from medieval Japan can inspire us today.
