This might be one of the dumbest and most morally dishonest deflections yet.

The issue was never whether my family “made it” into this country legally.

The issue is that Katie was killed because politicians and ideologues normalized lawlessness, ignored enforcement, and treated immigration laws as optional depending on political convenience.

Wanting secure borders, accountability, and basic public safety is not hatred. Pretending these failures have no consequences is what’s truly immoral.

Instead of confronting reality, people hide behind dishonest talking points and ideological word games because admitting failure would require humility and accountability from the very people who defended these reckless policies.

Katie is dead.
Other families are suffering too.
And no amount of political spin or emotional manipulation changes that reality.

Stop playing ideological word games to avoid accountability.
