We are encouraging midwives and MSWs to get the vaccine and booster as the best way to get protection for COVID. Take a look at the resources via the COVID hub and message from fellow maternity staff:
Working in maternity you have an important role when it comes to supporting pregnant women to get the COVID vaccine and booster. Hear from fellow midwives on how to support women and share the right guidance https://t.co/2pTu8c8TbK
Earlier this week the RCM and @RCObsGyn welcomed the announcement by the JCVI that pregnant women should be considered a clinical risk group within the COVID-19 vaccination programme. More here https://t.co/cnWAWkOb3l
96% of all pregnant women admitted to hospital with Covid-19 (May to Oct 2021) were unvaccinated. 17 women + 4 babies died from Covid-19 during this time.
Please get vaccinated.
If you are vaccinated please get your booster.
