Multiculturalism works best as an idea of Multicultural Citizenship. It should only be used as a transitioning stage towards the national identity. People should feel safe coming into Canada, and the policy should simultaneously help them integrate and keep their identity!

While yes, they should also focus on finding housing and jobs, they need to be able to expiernece Canada, which includes a MULTICULTURALISM POLICY WHICH WORKS

Former prime ministers Mulroney and Chretien both delivered devastating cuts to immigration integration programs. This just harms newcomers and limits their ability to contribute to a grand Canadian identity.

What Canada is doing to combat racism is on par, if not better, than what other countries are doing. Look at the USA, Multiculturalism works! We are progressing away from racism and it hardly exists here! #Canadaisnotracist

Ethnicity is not a source of racism in Canada, Canada always promotes programs which encourage the honoring of ethnic heritage within the Canadian identity. The Polish people contribute to a National Canadian identity just as much as they contribute to their own. #Diverse

The many forms that Multiculturalism has taken do not diminish from the importance of the original policy! They strengthen it in an extremely unique and Canadian way.
