Visiting the wildlife gardens of strangers (and chatting so they’re not strangers anymore) has been an absolute joy the last few weeks - totally recommend. We have two more open gardens scheduled this summer (and some permanently open gardens)… unless anyone else is tempted…

@IanThewildside Here's one in our garden yesterday. Was surprised to see it on its own as I've only seen them before in big groups at dusk. Real beauties.
It’s a great weekend for some wildlife garden visiting… 18 Gisborne Road tomorrow 10 - 12 (chutney in aid of Greystones School swifts) and 6 Rundle Drive (and many more as part of Nether Edge Open Gardens) on Sunday afternoon 2 - 5 (🍰 in aid of @WildSheffield) 1/3
@save_our_fields It's a halo. When high cloud is just starting to cover the sky & it looks a bit like ground glass, if you put your hand up to block the sun you'll find you can see these quite often. This good one might well be due to the cold front that is coming! Sun dogs are cool too!
Nether Edge Open Gardens is next Sunday (19th) between 2 and 5 and the vast majority will be wildlife friendly. We’ve got details of one so far, with maybe more to come - 6 Rundle Drive, organic with a wide range of nature habitat fb://event/?id=541147177476504
