ENGLISH AND COMPUTING IN YEAR 3
In our English lessons we will be writing an explanation text about ‘How Light Works’. We have been using the laptops to access the BBC Bitesize website to do our research and we made notes ready to write the explanation text later this week.
Despite the pouring rain and the difficulties it presented, our year 5 and 6 girl's football team demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and strong teamwork. These experiences will serve as valuable lessons for future tournaments. GO GIRLS!
Active Play Clothing
As part of our Active Play initiative, from September children are encouraged to access play across the whole outdoor site, including the fields, regardless of weather.
Your child will need to bring everyday:
A coat with hood and a pair of named wellies
@BL_Learning Year 5 at Wheelwright Lane are enjoying your live lesson this afternoon. We're busy creating our own imaginary worlds and exciting journeys!
@theresa_may We created statues of people who had inspired us and Lilly chose you! Thank you for being an inspiration 😀 Feel free to reply - Lilly would love it!
YEAR 5 and 6 RESIDENTIAL
A message from Mrs Haughey:
Everything is going really well at The Manor Adventure. There are lots of challenges for the children to have a go at and we are super proud of how they have used their determined, resilient and brave learning behaviours!
Straight into the activities with a bang! This afternoon, the children have been practicing their BMX skills, partaking in an obstacle course and having a go at the blind trail! So much fun already!
This morning, we have had Mr Jenkins from @warks_wcb working with all year groups. He taught us some basic skills and told us about the groups that we could join.
