Our club sure has been busy the past 24 hours!

Annual #WearOrangeDay proclamation & rally, WMHS graduation, and a social justice rap battle/spoken word contest all in our great city of Woburn!

A Sikh student volunteered to bring in turbans, teach us how to tie them, create a poster w/ info & work during all 3 lunches on Mon. 4/14 to spread awareness about his religion & to wrap heads of students or staff.

We honored #InternationalTurbanDay for the 1st time at WMHS!

A Sikh student Rajveer brought in his own turbans, taught our club how to tie them, created a poster w/ info & worked a table during lunch on Mon. 4/14 to spread awareness about his religion & to wrap the heads of students/staff for #InternationalTurbanDay 👳🏽‍♂️👳🏿‍♀️👳🏼

This month, we are again hosting a Ramadan Prayer Room at WMHS for Muslim students & staff to use for their midday prayer.

In addition, Student Leaders Momo M. and Jacoby A. were featured speakers at the latest #KnowYourNeighborWoburn event!

They worked to assemble and distribute #KnowYourRights cards in Spanish, Portuguese & Creole, and this week they are encouraging students & staff to make cards and color pictures for local immigrants, refugees, and asylees!

We were busy this afternoon assembling and delivering 200 small tokens of appreciation for all WMHS staff for the holiday season!

We are grateful for our teachers, paras, nurses, secretaries, counselors, coaches, cafeteria workers, custodians, and Admin! Happy Holidays🎅🏼🎄☃️🎁❄️
