The Government of Ghana welcomes the commendable announcement from the Netherlands and Germany during the Next Steps Conference that they are ready to return about 2,000 looted artefacts and items of cultural significance back to Ghana.
Ambassadors of the Netherlands and Germany presented a catalogue of the treasures being returned to President John Mahama during the conference’s plenary.
The Foreign Minister of Denmark also apologized for their role in the transatlantic enslavement and pledged to help preserve the castles they built as a good faith effort to prevent historical erasure, promote truth telling and guarantee non-repetition.
We applaud the positive conduct of restitution we are beginning to witness from our international partners in Europe since the adoption of the historic Ghana-led UN Resolution.
On Friday at Osu Castle, we adopted the 'Next Steps' outcome document for reparatory justice.
This historic event marked Juneteenth with our US and Caribbean brothers and sisters.
With one voice, we tell the Diaspora: Ghana is your home.
A gloriously successful Next Steps conference on Reparatory Justice following the historic adoption of the Ghana-led UN Resolution which declared the transatlantic enslavement as the gravest crime against humanity.
For the first time, the Reparatory Justice Movement and World Leaders agree to end fragmentation and work with a common framework, a common purpose and a common resolve.
The “Accra Next Steps Commitments” adopted at the conference will serve as the blueprint to deliver Reparatory Justice and guide us on our journey to deliver a new world anchored on fairness, justice and inclusivity.
Government of Ghana led by President John Mahama is grateful to all our esteemed guests.
Victory beckons!
The Presidents of Senegal, Namibia, Liberia, São Tomé and Principe, Prime Minister of Barbados, Vice Prime Minister of Equitorial Guinea, Speaker of the Algerian Parliament and Ministers from over 80 countries arrive in Ghana for the Next Steps Conference on Reparatory Justice convened by President John Dramani Mahama.
The convening comes three months after the historic adoption of UN Resolution A/RES/80/250 declaring the transatlantic enslavement as the gravest crime against humanity.

As someone who likes to share my high and low moments….
Last year I got into a deal to help scale up and profitably manage my business which unfortunately didn’t work out and put me through a ripple of debts.
My creditors have been gracious enough but this has left me with a lot of stress and sleepless nights. We find moments to be happy but generally it has been crazy. (My friends know this)
So this is me inviting my following and beyond to hit me with orders cos this is only legit way I know how to make money to deal with the situation.
We have a range of styles for the everyday man….
