The mark of a champion is knowing what battles to fight and what battles to walk away from. Are you fighting battles that don’t matter, engaged in conflict that’s petty, just trying to prove to people who you are? Are you closer to your destiny or was it a distraction?
Shake off the bitterness. Shake off the offense. You have a destiny to fulfill. We need the best version of you. Not the bitter you, the discouraged you, the half-hearted you, the limited you. Where is the strong, vibrant, talented, beautiful, passionate you that God created? The you that shines. The you that blesses others.
if someone said things to me that could potentially distort the lens through which i see myself, i would pray to God to help me forget what was said. it has always worked. nobody is going to remember all that.
I tell people that when you have mastered the act of contentment, people start thinking you have everything. Contentment doesn’t cancel desire; it cancels desperation.
The Scripture says, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God.” You have to use spiritual weapons. You have the power of prayer. You have the name of Jesus. You have the Word of God. You can speak His promises over your situation.
